Original Yoshikazu (active circa 1850-70) Japanese Woodblock Print
Chinese Couple, 1861

Comments - Terrific Yokohama-e print depicting a Chinese couple. The woman wears a yellow and red brocade tunic over brown pants, and carries a delicate flower in one hand and a small umbrella in the other. Her companion is dressed in a green tunic, and olive colored shire, and blue pants over white leggings, and he also carries an umbrella. A great image of foreigners arriving in Japan.

Artist - Yoshikazu (active circa 1850-70)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small holes, repaired. Slight soiling, faint stain near top. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
