Kinoshita Hideyoshi and Oda Nobunaga

Series; The New Biography of Toyotomi Hideyoshi

Kinoshita Hideyoshi and Oda Nobunaga - Interesting scene of the young Toyotomi, then known as Kinoshita Hideyoshi, presenting three containers holding the severed heads of enemies to Oda Nobunaga for identification. Nobunaga looks down at them with an angry expression, his brows furrowed, both hands resting atop his fan. He wears a fine suit of armor and a black court cap, and sits on a tiger skin rug. Hideyoshi looks at him aghast, his mouth hanging open, as he kneels across from the great general. Cloth tent walls featuring the Oda clan crest run across the back of the encampment beneath tall trees, while samurai guard the entrance at left, which is filled with wooden shields. An intriguing subject, nicely detailed with burnishing in the court cap and armor.
