Lotus Pond, 1860 - Lovely scene of a nobleman poling a boat with a young boy and a matron through a lotus pond. He smiles as he looks down at the child, who peers at the beautiful flowers emerging from the water, gesturing at a blossom with his hand. The matron kneels at his side, looking at him with a fond expression. A charming subject with wonderful detail and color, and fine bokashi shading in the water and sky. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection. A rarely seen Kunisada II series.
