Tulips by Masaharu Aoyama (1893 - 1969)

Original Masaharu Aoyama (1893 - 1969) Japanese Woodblock Print
Tulips

First Edition

Post-WWII Estate Collection - In today's auctions we're pleased to offer a special estate collection of beautiful, mid-twentieth century floral designs that date from just after WWII. An American collected these Uchida Publisher prints in Japan immediately following the war, so they are all first edition woodblocks from the late-1940s to early 1950s, an important consideration since many of these designs continued to be printed much later. Carefully observed and beautifully drawn, these attractive images feature a range of color from soft pastels to rich jewel tones. These lovely modern designs are a great choice to collect or display, either singly or in groups.

Tulips - Striking image of colorful tulips above yellow-green leaves. The showy blossoms are beautifully colored and shaded in rich tones. A great design with lovely, life-like color.

Artist - Masaharu Aoyama (1893 - 1969)

Image Size - 10" x 15 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail. A few light spots. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
