Series; Collected Scenes of Mt. Fuji, 1891

Evening Stroll at Shinobazu - Handsome scene of a young girl and an elderly man taking an evening stroll at Shinobazu. The girl smiles and gestures as she takes the wizened old man by the hand. He carries a walking stick and has a long white beard and shaggy eyebrows. A large stone lantern frames the scene at right beneath a blossoming cherry tree. Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance in gray silhouette as a rosy glow spreads across the horizon as the sun sets. A charming image from this rare Chikanobu series.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. One very small thinning spot, repaired. Light toning, slight soiling, faint ink offsetting. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
