Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Cranes and Water Chiyogami Print

Comments - Attractive chiyogami paper patterned with cranes in flight and standing on small rocky islands among stylized undulating waves. Bands of lavender and light orange clouds run diagonally across the page. Chiyogami papers were developed during the Edo era to use for doll crafting and origami, and traditionally feature bright colors and decorative designs. A handsome example.
