Outing at Mimeguri at Mukojima

Comments - Attractive scene of young women on an excursion to Mimeguri Shrine at Mukojima. Two of the beauties pause on a stone bridge to look back at their companions standing beneath a large stone gate, one woman waving a folding fan above her head. In the distances, a procession makes its way down the hill towards the shrine. A charming subject rarely seen in reprint, nicely detailed.

Artist - Kiyonaga (1752 - 1815)

Image Size - 12" x 7 7/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at left edge from previous folio mounting. Small tear at edge, repaired. A few creases near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
