Wakaume of the Tamaya in Edo-machi itchome

Comments - Lovely image of the courtesan Wakaume of the Tamaya in Edo-machi itchome, shown with one of her kamuro or child apprentices peering around her back. She pulls up the collar of her rosy pink outer kimono patterned with cherry blossoms, which has slipped from her shoulders. A beautiful portrait in a soft color palette, with a shimmering distressed mica background.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top corner from previous mounting. Toning, a few light creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
