Needlework

Comments - Fantastic Utamaro scene of beauties doing needlework. A beauty in a sheer black kimono holds the end of a length of red tied-dyed fabric, looking down with concentration. A few other scraps of cloth rest on the floor nearby. Behind her, a young woman reaches her hand into an insect cage. A charming design with beautiful detail and soft color, including delicate embossing in the tie-dyed cloth. A wonderful scene from daily life.
