Needlework

Comments - Lovely Utamaro design of a young woman checking the quality of a bolt of silk, her face visible through the sheer dotted fabric. A little boy plays at her knee, waving a fan. A sewing chest, ruler, and pair of scissors rest nearby, ready for use. A fantastic portrait print with the transparent fabric beautifully rendered.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 15 1/4" x 9 7/8" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Toning, a few light creases near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
