Comments - Unusual print sample for Choko Matsumoto's design of a graceful deity, featuring the initial two colors of the woodblock. A light tan has been printed to form the background, rendered with an allover texture. Next, a white block was printed to create the shape of the figure's face and neck, the edges of the color softly shade. An interesting woodblock showing the early stages of a Japanese woodblock print.
