Courtesan in a Rooster Kimono

Comments - Beautiful Toyokuni III portrait of a courtesan strolling through the Yoshiwara under the cherry blossoms. She wears a fantastic light blue kimono patterned with two roosters, the tail feathers extending from the kimono as if in three dimensions, the robe trimmed with layers of floral brocade. Her blue-gray obi features a striking design of a decorative fan with a red tasseled cord. She smiles sweetly as she looks back over her shoulder, her hair adorned with large combs and many hairpins. A lovely design with fine detail and coloring, and delicate embossing on the white kimono trim and rooster feathers.
