Drummer, 1936 - Handsome image of a young man playing a small drum tied around his waist, tapping out a rhythm as he dances about, lifting one knee. He wears a red cloth headdress topped with a fierce lion's head, and a red apron over a soft green kimono and brown plaid pants. Nicely drawn with fine line work. A rarely seen design from Shuho's 1936 series of ten woodblocks illustrating traditional Japanese dancers.
