Ide Jewel River in Yamashiro Province - Lovely design from a handsome series depicting the famous Six Jewel Rivers, here the Ide Jewel River in Yamashiro Province. A nobleman riding a dappled horse crosses the river, accompanied by an older retainer carrying a standard wrapped in cloth and a young sword bearer. Yellow roses bloom along the banks of the water, with cherry trees blossoming on the hillsides beyond. The poem above by Toshinari reads, "We stop our horse and give him refreshing water from the Ide River, where yellow roses bloom." A beautiful print.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Stitching holes along one side from previous folio binding, repaired. Toning, slight soiling and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
