Beauty Picking Plants and the Procession of Prince Shotoku, circa 1847 - 1851 - Attractive scene of a beauty picking plants along the shore of the river as the procession of Prince Shotoku approaches through the valley at left. She leans over with a smiling, enjoying her task as she fills a large basket. The prince rides in an elegant cart, accompanying by noblemen and samurai in formal court robes and caps. Tall pine trees frame a view of the evening sky beyond, with the rooftops of a few houses visible at upper right. A charming design from a rarely seen Hiroshige series.

Image Size - 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small wormholes and holes, repaired. A few stains, slight soiling near edges. Faint number in pencil on reverse at bottom edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
