Onikojima Yataro Kazutada

Series; Six Select Heroes, 1853

Onikojima Yataro Kazutada - Terrific portrait of the warrior Kojima Yataro Kazutada, whose fierceness earned him the nickname Onikojima or "Devil Kojima." Here, he grips the bloodied severed head of an enemy in his hand after a battle. He strikes a bold pose with his back to the viewer, holding a pole arm behind his back, staring to the side with a determined frown. His battle helmet is topped with a crab, and his personal standard or sashimono features a leering demon face. A fantastic design, with wonderful detail in the armor and an atmospheric night setting. A great choice for a samurai enthusiast.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown
