Yamashiro, Flowers of Arashiyama, Lady Kumano, No. 36 - Beautiful scene of Lady Kumano enjoying a view of the cherry blossoms at Arashiyama at sunset. The Togetsukyo Bridge stretches across the Oi River below, a small waterfall visible in the hills beyond, the sky flooded with orange and pink. She is accompanied by a small attendant, and her royal cart awaits her under a blossoming tree. The inset above shows offerings of food and sake. A lovely image with beautiful detailing, including embossing in the white kimono trim and burnishing on the cart. A rarely seen subject from this series, beautifully colored.

Image Size - 12 3/4" x 8 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small wormholes and holes, repaired. Faint toning and spotting in margins. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
