Beauties Going on a Picnic

Comments - Charming scene of beauties going on a picnic, a gourd container and boxes of refreshments wrapped in cloth suspended from a bamboo pole between them. A young boy urges them along, excited about the outing. Cherry trees are in bloom, and the masts of ships can be seen just behind the hill at right, with boats anchored in the bay beyond. A delightful subject with faint embossing in the cherry blossoms.

Artist - Shunsen (1762 - circa 1830)

Image Size - 9 1/8" x 13 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small holes, repaired. Slight toning and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
