Uo-ya Eikichi 1918 Edition Print

Takinogawa, Oji - Wonderful view of the Shakujii River passing through the Oji District. This stretch of the river was called the Takinogawa or Waterfall River because of its Seven Falls, and a pilgrim can be seen bathing beneath the rushing water at lower left. The area was known for its beautiful display of autumn foliage, with colorful maple trees dotting the hillside among tall pines. A charming design, nicely composed with rich color and fine bokashi shading.

Image Size - 13 1/4" x 8 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight thinning on reverse at sides from original folio mounting. Faint toning, minor offsetting, a few spots, small crease at lower right. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
