Chiyogaike Pond, Meguro - Handsome view of a waterfall cascading into Chiyogaike Pond at Meguro. The site was named after the wife of a medieval warrior who drowned herself here after learning of her husband's death in battle. Blossoming cherry trees dot the lush green slope, and most unusually for Hiroshige, are reflected in the water below. Colorful clouds drift across the scene above. Lovely color and detail in this attractive spring landscape.
