Elegant Courtesan Kakemono

Comments - Beautiful kakemono or vertical diptych of an elegant courtesan out for a stroll. She smiles happily, her hair styled with many decorative hairpins, combs, and ribbons. Her dark blue outer kimono is patterned with peonies, chrysanthemums, and cherry blossoms, with colorful ribbons flowing down the back. Her red orange obi features a bold design of large medallions against a geometric background. She wears very tall black wooden geta clogs. A lovely design, nicely colored and detailed. A classic Edo era beauty design.
