Catching Fireflies under a Full Moon

Comments - Lovely triptych of three women catching fireflies near the shore as their companions watch from a nearby verandah. Two of the women playfully bat at the glowing insects with colorful fans, while the third kneels down to capture a firefly. At right, a beauty strums a biwa or lute as she looks out over the water, enjoying the view under a softly shining full moon. A beautiful illustration of a favorite summertime entertainment. Nice shading in the water and sky.
