Sakurada Gate, 1928 - Beautiful evening view of the Sakurada Gate of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. The sky is a rich blue with lighter blue clouds drifting across it as night falls, the trees in dark silhouette along the horizon. The stone walls of the fortress are carefully detailed, and a single orange light shines in side the complex, reflected on the water below. Beautifully color with lovely handling of the shimmering reflections.
