Angry Warrior

Comments - Nice kabuki triptych featuring an angry warrior glaring at a young beauty. The general stares at her with a tight-lipped frown, gripping a pole arm with one hand. He wears a red vest patterned with yellow leaves over a fine suit of armor and a battle helmet topped with a thin crescent and a blossom, with a crown simulating a tall court cap. The surprised woman looks up at him open-mouthed, holding the collar of her cherry blossom print kimono. The bushy-haired samurai behind her watches with an angry grimace, while the nobleman at right eyes him sternly. The large colorful figures are set off by a deep red background bordered with a simulated black lacquer frame. Detailed with embossing with the white kimono trim, the white plates of the armor and the crown of the battle helmet.
