Comments - Fantastic kabuki scene of a trio engaged in an argument. The commoner at left uses a bamboo rake as a weapon, thrusting it over his companion's shoulder at an angry samurai, who waves his hands in the air. The warrior wears a beautiful black kimono patterned with dragons over his armor, and his short hair forms a halo atop his head. The beauty meekly ducks, trying to stay out of his way, holding her hand out in self-defense. She wears a blue kimono patterned with tops, rattles, and whistles, the same fabric as that worn by the commoner. A great design with the softly shaded gray background focusing all attention on the large colorful figures. Nice fine line work in the hairstyles and handsome wood grain impression.
