Comments - Beautiful, large format woodblock print of a koi or carp. The fish glides silently beneath the water, surrounded by a golden haze of sunlight reaching through the depths. A very painterly image with beautiful, rich color and fine bokashi shading. Extensive use of shimmering gold mica. Published by Unsodo; carved by Heibe Okura and printed by Saburo Shimi. A lovely design of a favorite subject in Japanese art.
