Comments - Dramatic kabuki scene of two sumo wrestlers fighting at night. The fellow in the center lunges forward with his sword, grimacing angrily, as his enemy blocks the blow using his own weapon. Each man wears a red and white vest with a bold pattern over a purple print kimono. A matron at left watches them with a sullen frown, one hand thrown out in alarm. Nicely detailed with fine line work in the hair and burnishing in the woman's black collar.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Vertical crease near one side of each panel. Slight separation at ends of folds, a few small holes, repaired. Light toning and offsetting, slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
