Original Shotei (1871 - 1945) Japanese Woodblock Print
Mount Fuji Seen from the Pass

Comments - Beautiful shin hanga view of Mt. Fuji from a pass. In the foreground, a few travelers in silhouette make their way up and down the slope beneath tall pine trees, with a red torii gate adding a touch of color. Mist hangs over the valleys below, and clouds drift about the magnificent snow-covered peak. Lovely color with fine bokashi shading. A wonderful choice for display.

Artist - Shotei (1871 - 1945)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 6 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Small loss in top margin, tiny loss and small tear at bottom edge, repaired. A few light creases near edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
