Tokuriki (1902 - 1999) Original Japanese Painting on Silk Mounted to Board
Night Cherry Blossoms

Comments - Lovely scene of people viewing cherry blossoms at night in Kyoto. Pedestrians are seen in silhouette in the plaza in the foreground, dwarfed by the enormous flowering tree on the hill above, the branches propped up by wooden poles. Colorful red lanterns, a glowing street, and a small bonfire on the slope add a festive air to the scene. A charming modern design by Tokuriki, in the traditional shikishiban board format.

Artist - Tokuriki (1902 - 1999)

Size - 10 5/8" x 9 1/2"

Condition - With excellent detail as shown. Slight toning, a few spots, creasing at upper left, wear at edges, board slightly curled. Please note: this print has a lithograph image of a beauty glued to the reverse of the board. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
