Series; Mirror of Women's Tasks, circa 1843

Shaping Cotton - Attractive scene of a woman shaping cotton, gently stretching the battle over a smooth lacquer form. She smiles as she looks down, concentrating on her work, an unshaped piece of cotton over her shoulder. Other pieces hang from a line overhead, while completed batting is tied into soft rolls and arranged on the floor behind her. A charming look at the everyday activities of women, from a rarely seen Kuniyoshi beauty series.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Horizontal center fold. A few wormholes at edges, slight thinning along fold, small losses near bottom edge, repaired. Slight soiling and rubbing. Please see photos for details.
