Street Knights and Sake Casks

Comments - Attractive kabuki scene featuring five otokodate or street knights next to a large display of straw-wrapped sake casks. Each of them wears a colorful kimono patterned with flowers, including lilies, cherry and plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, and hydrangeas. Each man is armed with a single sword and a shakuhachi flute, and has a white towel draped over his shoulders or tied around his neck. The sake cases are decorated with cherry blossoms and targets with arrows through them, along with the brand. A handsome design with lively color.

Image Size - 14" x 28"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three attached panels, backed with old paper. Vertical center fold in center panel. Very slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
