Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of an actor in the role of a matron, scowling angrily as she looks back over her shoulder while twisting a narrow sash between her hands. She wears a red kimono edge with a gray and white geometric patter, tied with a blue and tan brocade obi. A couple of practice swords lie at her feet. The background features an allover plaid with a few large characters rendered in fabric patterns. An interesting Osaka design in the unusual full oban format.
