Comments - Beautiful Edo era kakemono or vertical diptych of a young beauty building a snowman in the shape of the god Daruma. She holds an umbrella in one hand and pats a mound of snow with the other. She wears an elegant paulownia print kimono, a checked coat, and tall geta sandals. A classic ukiyo-e beauty subject, nicely composed.

Image Size - 25 3/4" x 8 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Slight paper remnants and thinning on reverse at a few spots on edges from previous mounting. A few holes and thinning spots, repaired. Toning, creasing, and soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
