Original Eisen (1790 - 1848) Japanese Woodblock Print
Tea Stand Waitress Kakemono

Comments - Charming Edo era portrait of a smiling tea stand waitress, pausing with one hand resting against a wooden pillar. She wears an intricately patterned green kimono over a red under robe, tied with a black obi that reverses to a print of cherry blossoms, pine branches, and bamboo leaves. A blue apron with a design of Genji symbols and feathery sprigs is fastened about her waist, and she wears wooden geta clogs with fuzzy blue straps. A lovely kakemono or vertical diptych.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 28 1/8" x 9 5/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels, backed with paper. Wormholes, repaired. Toning, slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
