Four Kabuki Actors, 1877

Kabuki Play Portraits - Handsome design from a series of Chikashige prints comprised of four small actor portraits from popular kabuki plays. The figures include Chinese generals, angry warriors, young noblemen and beauties, and even a sumo wrestler. Each portrait is set off by a deep red background. Nicely detailed with fine line work in the hair. A nice group of expressive portraits.
