Comments - Attractive scene of Prince Genji and two beauties crossing a bridge on a moonlit night. One woman leads the way carrying a lamp, smiling to look back over her shoulder. The nobleman smiles as he looks up at the sky, holding a folding fan. A full moon glows low in the night sky, with an extensive palace extending out over the water at upper right. A pine tree frames the view. An interesting subject with attractive color and fine bokashi shading in the water and sky, and delicate embossing in the white kimono trim. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.
