Original Kunisada II (1823 - 1880) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauties in an Interior

Comments - Attractive scene of beauties in an elegant interior. At left, a kneeling woman offers a blossoming cherry branch to the beauty standing at right. She smiles, one hand resting along the edge of a slight panel decorated with stylized flowers and phoenixes. Her dark blue kimono is patterned with chrysanthemums and flowing water, tied with a red brocade obi. Through the window of the back room, a view of the water can be seen. A charming design, nicely detailed.

Artist - Kunisada II (1823 - 1880)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 5/8" + left margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Slight soiling, slight rubbing near edges, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
