Women at a Bathhouse

Comments - A wonderful Kiyonaga genre scene of women enjoying an afternoon at a public bath. At right, a young mother washes her son's face with a cloth as the child protests. A few of the women wear lightweight cotton robes while others have stored their clothing on the wooden shelves at right. A fantastic glimpse of life in Edo era Japan.
