April: Peonies, 1898 - Attractive view of a garden in April, with two beauties admiring the peony blossoms sheltered beneath a roofed structure at left. Detailed with burnishing in the black obi and women's hair, and touches of silver mica in the elegant fabrics. A charming spring subject.
