Comments - Handsome perspective view inside a fine palace where the generals of the Takeda Clan are gathered before a battle. The leader sits in a small room off to the left, scowling as he grips his battle fan, his suit of armor displayed prominently behind him. Offering trays are set on the floor below him, and his retainers are dressed in formal court robes or armor. The atmosphere seems tense, with samurai frowning and grimacing at each other angrily, each carefully identified with a name cartouche. A fascinating image with a wonderful interior setting. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.
