Seaside Confrontation

Comments - Dramatic kabuki scene of a pair of samurai confronting two seated men on a platform at the water's edge. The two attackers brandish their katana, and the men try to fend them off with bamboo poles. Interesting kabuki stage props behind the men depicting the ocean.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 19 1/2" x 14 1/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Two separate panels. A couple minor holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
