Walking along the Embankment

From an untitled series of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune in the pleasure quarters

Walking along the Embankment - Interesting early black and white woodblock design of people strolling along an embankment near the pleasure quarters. At left, a laborer carries a large crate over his shoulder. Two other men pass him going the opposite direction, one of whom wears a cap and a coat with a magic mallet on it like that of the god Daikoku. Another fellow in a woven straw hat walks towards them, followed by a servant. A nice design.
