Girl Holding a Box

Comments - Attractive design of a young girl holding a lacquer box tied with a tasseled cord, pausing to look back over her shoulder. Her kimono is shaded from violet to yellow and covered with pink and yellow blossoms, tied with a gold brocade obi and red tie-dyed sash. A brazier with red hot coals rest on the floor behind her, the wooden base decorated with a wisteria vine. Nice detail and color in the kimono and obi fabrics.
