Princess Minazuru

Series; A Chronicle of the Rise and Fall of the Minamoto and Taira

Princess Minazuru - Interesting scene of Princess Minazuru secretly giving a scroll to the young nobleman Ushiwaka Maru, the future Minamoto no Yoshitsune. She looks back over her shoulder with a worried expression, holding her sleeve to her mouth, clutching the scroll to her chest. The youth sits quietly, holding out his hand to keep her silent, as he looks up with a watchful expression. A kimono is draped over the lamp at left to shield the light. Lovely detail in the palace room, which overlooks a garden with colorful autumn foliage. Detailed with fine embossing in the beauty's robe.

Image Size - 8 3/8" x 13" + margins as shown
