Series; Twelve Months of Beauties, 1898

April: Peonies - Attractive view of a garden in April, with two beauties admiring the peony blossoms sheltered beneath a roofed structure at left. The flowers are beautifully detailed with faint embossing and soft shading. At right, a woman and a young girl look out across the garden into the distance. Detailed with burnishing in the black obi and women's hair, and touches of silver mica in the elegant fabrics. A charming spring subject.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 27 3/4"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Very slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
