Playing Shamisen

Series; Twelve Months in the Yoshiwara, 1869

Playing Shamisen - Lovely scene of two beauties ready for an evening's entertainment. One woman strums a shamisen, smiling happily at her companion, who leans against a wooden pillar. Red paper lanterns hang overhead, and a tobacco set and lacquer basin of water rest on the floor inside. A blossoming cherry tree in the foreground adds a touch of spring color. A handsome design with lively color.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Some prints have slight thinning or small losses at top edge, a few small holes, repaired, blends well. Slight soiling, a few prints have slight creasing. Please see photos for individual condition. Generally in good condition overall.
