Beauty Drying Her Hair

Comments - Lovely portrait of a beauty leaning against a stool, drying her long hair. She smiles sweetly as she tilts her head to the side, fingering a lock of hair. She wears a green kimono over a red under robe with a blue plaid collar, tied with a lavender print obi. The Western-style stool is adorned with nail heads and fringed trim, and the room opens onto a garden with a blue and white ceramic water basin beneath a tree. An attractive image with delicate line work in the hair.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 9 1/4" + left margin as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Small losses at right corners, thinning along right edge, repaired. Slight soiling and creasing, slight rubbing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
