Series; Kanadehon Chushingura, 1852

47 Ronin, Acts 3 and 4 - Handsome illustration featuring two acts from the classic kabuki play "Kanadehon Chushingura," based on the true story of the 47 ronin. The print features two chuban size scenes, surrounded by a narrow black and white dogtooth border and a purple frame patterned with the crests of Lord Hangan and Yuranosuke, the leader of the 47 ronin. The lively scenes include nicely detailed settings in vibrant color. An interesting design for a collector interested in this famous tale of honor and revenge.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. A few small holes, repaired. Slight creasing and soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
