Two Beauties Surimono

Comments - Handsome uncut page featuring two surimono designs by Hokusai. At left, a courtesan in shown in front of a snow-covered plum tree dotted with pink buds, with a rooster made of snow atop a garden fence at right. She wears layered of elegant robes, her hair arranged in two large loops adorned with a comb and many slender hairpins). At right, a beauty holds a blossoming branch as she stands beside a container on a pulley. She looks down at it intently. An attractive set of images, drawn with fine line work and detailed with touches of embossing in the clothing. We've never come across these designs in reprint before.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint spotting, slight creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
