Comments - Handsome kabuki scene portrait of Ichikawa Danjuro IX as the young servant Tarokaja. He leans forward with a worried expression, a folded black robe draped over one shoulder. He wears a blue floral kamishimo over a striped kimono, his thinning hair pulled back into a slender ponytail sticking straight out behind his head. A pine tree in gray silhouette frames the yellow background overhead. A nice large figure, carefully detailed with burnishing in the black robe.
